Stjepan is a behavioral scientist, educator and health care leader.
He is a tenured professor at the Zagreb School of Medicine. Under his leadership, World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Strategic Information developed and executed programs for the experts, leaders and governments from more than 100 countries. He also advised international organizations such as the World Bank and European Commission. His past and recent experience in tourism and health tourism comprise vice-presidency of the advisory board of the leading regional company specialized in developing, organizing and selling travel services, membership of the board of the unique social entrepreneurship and investment project in tourism (Mon Perin d.o.o. – diverse profile of investors encompassing more than 900 shareholders) as well as the position of the president of the Health cluster established in 2012 by the leading Croatian private health clinics.

His pivotal projects were featured in the Lancet and the BMJ, and he was quoted in the leading international media, including Reuters, CNN, BBC, NBC, Associated Press and RTL.
