Policy Officer – European Commission
Girma Anuskeviciute is a Policy Officer at the European Commission working in the Tourism, Emerging and Creative Industries unit of the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, since 2007. The unit develops and supports EU policy initiatives aiming at competitive, sustainable and innovative tourism. Girma is responsible for the implementation of cultural, accessible and health tourism-related actions, e.g. European Destinations of Excellence initiative, cooperation with UNESCO on ‘World Heritage Journeys of Europe’ and more. She holds a Master’s degree in European law from the College of Europe.
